If I have not had the chance to meet you in person yet, my name is Jamie Albritton (or as most students call me, Mr. A).  I am the new music specialist at Harmony Elementary.  I am very excited to be here and work with your children.  While I'm new to Harmony I am not new to the county.  Prior to joining the staff at Harmony, I was the music specialist for six years at La Grange Elementary.

I am a graduate of the University of Louisville with a Masters in the Art of Teaching and a Bachelors in Music Education.  In addition to these degrees I hold a Level III Orff-Schulwerk Certification from the University of Kentucky.  This style of teaching stems from Carl Orff and Gunild Keetman's work with children. It is centered around things children naturally do:
sing, dance, play and create.

I love making music!  Trumpet and guitar are the two main instruments I play, but that won't stop me from picking up any other instrument.
 
I have a fantastic wife and three amazing boys.  If I'm not making music, you can find me working as a photographer taking family and children's portraits or enjoying just about any type of sporting event.
